  1. Mendeleev’s periodic table is an arrangement of elements in an increasing atomic mass order in a tablet form, such that it reflects similarities and trends in the behaviour of elements.

There are seven periods and eight groups in Mendeleev’s periodic table

The columns of the table, called groups, contained elements with similar properties. Mendeleev’s periodic table was a good model because it could be used to predict unknown elements and their properties. All of these missing elements were eventually discovered.

Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev was a Russian chemist and inventor. He is best known for formulating the Periodic Law and creating a farsighted version of the periodic table of elements.

Mendeleev’s periodic table was rejected because he was unable to tell the location of a hydrogen atom in the periodic table.
